Welcome!

Tima Aalizadeh is an artist and printmaker based in London, specialising in intaglio, screen printing, and relief processes. Her practice explores the intersection of technical precision and expressive experimentation, merging traditional printmaking methods with contemporary visual narratives.

Alongside her studio work, Tima has collaborated on large-scale editioning projects for internationally recognised artists and exhibited in institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts, Kirkby Gallery, and Bankside Gallery. She also brings extensive teaching experience within higher education and print studios, where she fosters an inclusive, process-driven approach to creative learning.

Through her work, Tima continues to investigate how material, repetition, and transformation shape both artistic process and perception.

"Dancing of Freedom"

“Dancing of Freedom captures the abstract essence of the feminine form in motion. Rendered in a vibrant reddish-orange palette, the triptych evokes energy, liberation, and the fluidity of movement. The work balances abstraction with emotive expression, inviting viewers to interpret the dance through their own lens.”

"Abrupt"

Abrupt is a meditation on fragility, perception, and the quiet erasure of small lives. Through multi-layered etchings of vividly coloured yet lifeless insects, the series magnifies what is often overlooked beings so minute that their existence and disappearance pass without notice. The dense layering of ink and texture mirrors the complexity and beauty of these fragile forms, now stilled in death. Their vibrant hues contradict their silence, suggesting a tension between visibility and insignificance.

 "Echoes of a Shadow"

“Echoes explores the interplay between memory, intimacy, and fleeting moments. The series comprises a set of limited-edition prints (some still available) alongside a unique handmade book, inviting viewers to experience layered narratives through text and image.”
